The Saudi club Al-Nassr is in advanced negotiations with Sporting CP to acquire the Portuguese-Cape Verdean international Pany Varela, considered the best player in the world in 2022. With the aim of strengthening its futsal section with a renowned star, Al -Nassr offers a three-year contract to the 35-year-old player, whose release clause is 500,000 euros.

Gabriel Napoli, an influential representative of Five Company, recently traveled to Riyadh to personally discuss Al-Nassr's proposal, which seeks not only Varela, but also additional reinforcements across Europe for his team. While Sporting is reluctant to lose its star, negotiations are entering a critical phase in this summer futsal market.

Varela, known for his career at Benfica and more recently at Sporting, has accumulated more than 30 titles in his career, including the 2010 UEFA Futsal Champions League. As he decides his future ahead of the Futsal World Cup, where Portugal defends its title, the player faces a decisive moment in his career.
