WARNING ABOUT THE DENGUE EPIDEMIC ON BRAVA ISLAND
In the last 15 days, the number of dengue cases has jumped from 30 to 61. The most affected areas include Furna, Vila, Mato, Nossa Senhora do Monte and Lomba Tantun. However, the problem is expanding and it is crucial that everyone contributes to the fight against mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever.
The Health Department, in partnership with Civil Protection, recommends the following measures to combat the proliferation of mosquitoes:
Cleaning Campaign: Carry out regular cleaning of environments to eliminate possible mosquito breeding sites.
Avoid Stagnant Water: Do not leave water accumulated in containers, tires, bottles and other objects that can serve as breeding grounds.
Cistern Treatment: Use suitable products to treat water stored in cisterns.
Each of us has an essential role to play in eradicating dengue fever. Community collaboration is essential to winning this battle. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact the Health Department or Civil Protection.
We count on everyone's active participation. The fight is ours, and the duty is everyone's.
Thank you for your attention and collaboration.
