ALIRIO TAVARES, NEW COMMANDER OF THE SHIP DONA TUTUTA
Born on the island of São Vicente, Alírio Tavares saw inspiration in his father, who is also a ship captain, to pursue a maritime career. In 2017, after completing his Degree in Nautical Sciences, he began his professional career, working as Second Pilot and Chief Officer on the Ship Praia d'Aguada until August 2019, where in the same year, at CV Interilhas, he was promoted to Chief Officer of the ship Sotavento, and later in 2020, from January to June, he served as Commander.
Between 2021 and 2023, Alírio served on several CV Interilhas ships, always performing with excellence the roles of Second Pilot and First Officer.
After completing his Nautical training (APNT) in Brazil, in July 2023, Alírio had the opportunity to familiarize himself with the ships in the CV Interilhas fleet, culminating in his well-deserved promotion to Commander of the ship Dona Tututa.
This promotion reinforces CV Interilhas' commitment to believing and investing in people, young people and local talent, closely monitoring all those who evolve within the company in such noble roles as commanding a ship at sea.
