The mission included a formal visit to the Mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares. “We express, on behalf of the CMB (Brava Municipal Council) and all the inhabitants of the island, our deep gratitude for the commitment and dedication of Dr. Fernanda Colpo in strengthening relations between CVT and CMB, as well as in the significant improvement of services offered at Brava. We wish you much success in your new mission in another region of Cape Verde”, Tavares began by saying, taking the opportunity to welcome Dr. Paulo Semedo, the new regional coordinator, expressing his best wishes for success in his administration. May your leadership contribute to the continuous improvement of communication services on the island.

The mayor said that there is encouraging news for the Brava community. CVT is finalizing a communication project that will guarantee the continuity of mobile and internet communication even in situations of seismic catastrophes that could harm the conventional system. “This is a significant and vital advancement for Brava, providing a more robust and reliable network at critical moments. We sincerely hope that this infrastructure never needs to be used, but its implementation represents an important gain for the island's security and connectivity," he said.

Francisco Tavares took the opportunity to thank everyone involved for their commitment to strengthening communications and services on Brava Island. “May this partnership continue to bring lasting benefits to the community”, he concluded.
