During the meeting, the Commander expressed his concern about the increase in noise and disturbance caused by noise pollution, which significantly affects the quality of life of local residents. He emphasized the importance of enforcing municipal regulations related to noise control and the opening hours of commercial establishments.

However, despite discussions and appeals made during the meeting, there have been continued reports of excessive and disturbing noise over the last three nights on the island. Residents say the noise, which includes loud music and shouting, continues into the wee hours of the morning, causing great discomfort and disturbance in the neighborhood.

The local community is increasingly frustrated with the lack of concrete action to control noise pollution. Residents call on authorities to take immediate action to contain the situation and ensure that municipal regulations are strictly adhered to.

A point of particular concern is whether the business establishment responsible for the majority of nighttime disturbances is being properly enforced by local authorities. There are questions about whether the establishment in question is operating within municipal regulations and whether it is being closely monitored by the relevant authorities.

The local community is anxious for a response from the authorities and hopes that effective measures will be taken to solve the problem of noise pollution, ensuring the tranquility of the nights on the island. Noise pollution not only affects the quality of life for residents, it also damages Brava's reputation as a peaceful and enjoyable destination for visitors.

In a post on one of his social networks, Carlinhos Martins, Responsible for the PAICV on Brava Island, said that the issue remains and that there is a specific commercial establishment that is being negligent with its obligations, believing that there are other factors at play that are contributing to the persistence of the noise pollution problem. The community is awaiting responses and concrete actions from the authorities to address this growing concern.
