Start of Santa Helena festivities in Furna: The celebration of life and culture
Furna, July 30, 2024 — With great expectation and enthusiasm, the Furna community begins the Santa Helena festivities, affectionately known as the "Conakry" festival. This year, the honor of being the partygoer goes to the renowned Ramos family, who prepared a special tribute to Ivania Ramos, affectionately called "Babam Já Felicida".
Babam, in addition to being a dedicated kindergarten monitor, was a figure of contagious kindness, whose joy brightened the daily lives of everyone around her. She was the soul of the Conakry celebrations, a familiar and beloved face, essential to the festivities. Although he is gone, Babam's memory remains alive and warm in the community and family, motivating a special tribute in recognition of his legacy and the preservation of the rich cultural tradition in the town of Furna.
This year's program promises to be unforgettable. From August 1st, the futsal tournament will begin its activities, held at the Furna multipurpose facility, which now has a renovated floor to provide exciting spectacles. In addition, participants will be able to enjoy athletics and swimming competitions, boat races, bingo games, fashion shows, biz tournaments, games without borders and an electric tent to liven up the party.
Therefore, from August 1st, all roads lead to Furna. Come celebrate with education, friendship and enthusiasm. Together, we will make Conakry's festivities even more special and exceed all expectations. Brava Sports and Culture proudly brings you the best of the island.
