TACV Boeing 737-8 makes first commercial flight Paia/Lisbon

The new boeing 737-8, recently acquired by the national airline (TACV), made its first commercial flight today at 08:15, Praia/Lisbon, after the aircraft called Morabeza was authorized to operate on connections to Europe.

As explained to Inforpress, the PCA of the company, Sara Pires, the device was acquired to enter the route that the company has been operating, that is, Lisbon and Paris, stating that as new routes are acquired, they will be introduced.

The aircraft, which arrived in the country on the 20th of July, was baptized on the sign at Nelson Mandela International Airport in the city of Praia. On the occasion, Sara Pires said that with the acquisition of this aircraft, the company will operate seven weekly flights to and from Lisbon and two weekly flights to and from Paris.

He assured that the new aircraft registration D4-CCJ already has the authorization issued by the European Union Aviation Safety (EASA, acronym in English), foreseeing for the near future the resumption of the operation for the United States and Brazil.

The Government, through a resolution of the Council of Ministers, had authorized an endorsement of around 600 billion escudos to TACV for the acquisition of a Boeing 737-8 aircraft.

This concession was authorized in the form of financial leasing with the Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC), in the exact terms of the “Unconditional Guaranty” according to the Official Gazette

The term of the guarantee is 144 months, that is, 12 years, in accordance with the repayment plan and the maturity date of the loan, under the terms established by the Operating Lease Agreement (CLO).
