According to the organization, the band created by the Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas on the island of Brava demonstrated once again its “great international quality”, performing several performances from March 21 to 23, 2024 at the Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas on the island of La Réunion , overseas territory of France, in the Indian Ocean.

After a four-day trip, singer Rosa Borges and musicians Zé Duarte and Isaque Delgado played together with two renowned 'special guests', Cape Verdean drummer Cau Paris and bassist Johan Sartave from Réunion, presenting a repertoire dedicated to composers from Brava Island.

“The success was great both in the solidarity concerts in homes and in the great closing concert of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival in the city of Saint-Paul in the presence of an audience that ended up surrendering to the rhythms of Brava, dancing throughout the concert”, reads a statement sent to Inforpress.

“These prestigious international stages of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival are not, in any way, 'intermediate stages', as Mr. Minister of Culture Abraão Vicente recently inappropriately declared on the RTP Africa program 'Nha Terra Nha Cretcheu'”, considered the same source.

The organization also lamented the fact that in Cape Verde institutions, such as the Ministry of Culture and other international entities, "do not worry and do not want to recognize the high quality journey" carried out over many years by the bands and by Centrum Sete Sóis Sete Moons on the most peripheral islands: Brava, Fogo, Maio and Santo Antão, allowing the internationalization of countless Cape Verdean artists and musicians from these islands.
