Brava City Council defines and distributes portfolios for the 2024-2028 term

The Mayor, Amândio Semedo de Brito , will be responsible for general coordination and planning, international relations, institutional relations and communication, financial management and budget, as well as civil protection.

Councillors Aliana Sofia Alves Andrade and Ivete Lopes de Pina will also take on prominent roles. Aliana Sofia will be responsible for the portfolios of Internal Trade, Tourism, Culture and Gender Equality, while Ivete Lopes will lead key areas such as Health, Sanitation, Energy, Natural Resources, Environment and Rural Development.

In turn, councilor João Monteiro Pereira will be in charge of the areas of Education, Sports, Youth and Professional Training, and councilor Carlos Manuel Rodrigues Costa will take on the portfolios of Infrastructure, Housing, Social Promotion, Social Action and Transport.

According to President Brito, the distribution of portfolios reflects the commitment of the Brava City Council to efficiently organize the sectors of local administration and promote the sustainable development of the island, meeting the needs of the population in several areas that are fundamental to collective growth and well-being.
