Brava: Court decrees preventive detention for accused of the crime of sexual assault of a minor

The Court of the District of Brava applied, as a coercive measure, preventive detention to a male individual, residing in Furna, suspected of committing the crime of sexual assault.

This information was provided to Inforpress by a judicial source, explaining that the Public Ministry issued this Thursday, 15, a warrant and the staff of the Brava Police Station proceeded with the arrest outside of flagrante delicto.

On the same afternoon, he was presented for the first judicial interrogation for the application of the coercive measure, having been remanded in custody.

The aggressor is currently being held at the Brava Police Station, but will be taken to the civil jail on the island of Fogo.

According to the same source, the individual is 43 years old and is being accused of a crime of sexual assault with penetration, in material authorship and in the consummated form.
