Brava: Football season kicks off on December 4th with the Super Cup – ARFB

The start of the 2002/23 football season in Brava is scheduled for the 4th of December with the Supercup games and this year only four teams will participate.

This information was given to the press today by the president of the Regional Football Association of Brava (ARFB), Samuel Varela, stating that on the part of the association everything is ready to start the sporting season.

According to this official, last week, the association met with the clubs, but regretted having had the information that only four teams will participate in this sporting season, namely Benfica, Coroa, Morabeza and Nô Pintcha, being left out. there is Juventude, Sporting da Brava and Académica.

As Samuel Varela highlighted the Académica team this year, given the financial difficulties, the president informed that he will not participate in the championship, reinforcing that, by all indications, the team will prepare to return with more strength next year.

The start of the competitions is already scheduled, and on the 4th of December the Supercup begins and the following week begins the opening tournament, played over two rounds and for the 29th of January the start of the regional championship and the Cup of angry.

Although with fewer teams, Samuel Varela underlined that, by all indications, there will be many more games than in the previous season, which will allow the teams to be better prepared for the national competitions.

As for the state of the Aquiles d´Oliveira Stadium, this leader showed his concern with the situation of the tribune, stressing that because it is not in optimal conditions, the ARFB ends up losing some income, taking into account that it has not been available for two years. been collecting tickets for this area.

But, he added that in dialogue with the Municipality of Brava, which is responsible for the space, there is information that “the municipality is focused on resolving this situation as soon as possible, because the tribune endangers the safety of people and athletes”.

As for other repairs, he informed that in the beginning the association makes some repairs in the field, guaranteeing that the repairs will be carried out even before the start of the competitions, so that the season can start safely and smoothly.
