Brava: Free Fair with positive evaluation from exhibitors, organization and public

The Free Fair held today, in Nova Sintra, received a positive note from the organization, exhibitors and public, taking into account the participation and range of products and varieties on display.

The event, which had its first edition in March 2022, was developed with the aim of “empowering Brave women and revolutionizing local commerce”, and has now been transformed into a monthly routine for residents and exhibitors.

From the beginning, the idea, as Ana Pires, a member of the organization, said, was to involve women from all corners of the island, in such a way that, over time, participation increased, dispensing with prior notices and invitations of a scenario of little adhesion to a totally different other, in which it is no longer necessary to “call anyone”.

Likewise, Fernanda Burgo, also a member of the organization, explained that the fair is usually held on the last Friday of each month, but that this edition was brought forward to take advantage of the movement of people from other islands and also the festive season.

And, as evidenced, by the contact and feedback he received from the stallholders today, this edition was a “success”, not least because, he highlighted the fact that at the beginning of this fair, in 2022, the number of stallholders did not reach even half of Rua Padre Pio Gottin, but today, the street was completely filled with a great diversity of products.

This fair, he underlined, is an opportunity for the stallholders to sell and exhibit their products, which often do not get much out at home.

Carolina Gonçalves, one of the exhibitors, who has already been participating in the fair for a few months, considered that the initiative is “very good”, as it gives women the opportunity to show that they can and have the ability to do anything, they just need to accept that they are capable , but also an opportunity to showcase your products and get out of your daily routine.

And at this fair she revealed that she has had the opportunity, like the other participants, to expose the products and make a different sale and even to improve her results, since on this street all visitors have seen the products she sells in her space and now you know where to look for them.

Vanda Fernandes came from Furna to offer visitors a diverse set of products, from hygiene products, clothes, shoes, among others, from the United States of America.

According to the same source, it practiced different prices, according to each product, but not an exaggerated price, recognizing that the situation is “difficult” and with a fair price it is possible to allow people to have something different this festive season and the fairs to have some profit, in addition to delivering products.

This activity for the fair must always be carried out, justifying that in Brava, many people receive orders from the United States of America, thus making the sale a little complicated, and when holding the fair there is more output.

Visitors also attributed a “positive note” to the event, applauding this initiative that not only moves the city but also gives women the opportunity to expose their products in a different way.
