The focal point of Brava's Employment and Employability Network, Mário Soares, today asked Brava residents who are not yet members of the network, to participate as a way of uniting in one voice for the island.
This appeal was made in an interview with Inforpress, after an awareness campaign carried out by members of the network door-to-door by institutions on the island, passing on information about all the activities carried out by the network and its future vision.
In addition, the main objective of this visit was to ask all institutions to nominate a person to become a member of the network, since, according to the focal point, if the network has members from each institution on the island, association and even individual people, they speak in a only voice.
“The greater the number of subscribers from institutions, associations, individuals, among others, the problems faced begin to have a clearer view, with diversities of opinions and diversified solutions”, said Mário Soares, adding that in this way, one can also, have a clear view of the shift in perspective.
The network was created in November 2017, and at Brava, as the same source said, it has been working on the issue of unemployment, focusing on training.
In fact, Mário Soares reinforced that in order to provide a quality service, it is necessary to have a certain preparation and at Brava they have been providing training, including, he added, that they are already preparing three more training courses for 2020 with a view to entering the job market .
The network, he informed, has been carrying out work aimed at young people and women heads of families in situations of unemployment and also has ramifications that reach the social problems they face in our society.
To work on social issues, they have been running some training activities, with training on Gender-Based Violence, Gender Equality, among others, to make people aware of certain situations.
The local Employment and Employability network on the island of Brava is supported by the Luxembourg Cooperation through the Employment and Employability Program CVE/081.
