Speaking to Inforpress, Sónia Baptista, one of the young participants in this training course, explained that she always tries to participate in almost all the training courses that are given on the island, but this one, in particular, what motivated her was the fact that she gained more knowledge and with that, prepare a project to be presented and if it is feasible, you will receive a kit that will allow you to start your business.

According to this trainee, she is already part of the seafood processing cooperative, but her ambition goes beyond that and she says she is convinced that in this PIN training she will be able to obtain enough knowledge and techniques to open her own business, and later on employ other young people.

Likewise, Ana Silva is a young woman who already has a high level of training, and in this training she saw a door to kick-start her own business that she has been struggling to achieve for some months now.

As he underlined, the objective is not only to participate to acquire the kit, but also to acquire knowledge and baggage that will allow him to start and continue the process of self-employment and entrepreneurship.

At the opening ceremony, which was presided over by the director of the Center for Employment and Vocational Training in the Fogo e Brava region, Carlos Lopes, this official considered that this training is “extremely important”, reinforcing that it will “unlock” the island and “largely measure”.

Because, as he maintained, this training is for the attribution of self-employment kits, framed in the Government policy whose mission is to train and train people in the field of entrepreneurship.

He also maintained that at the level of the region, they are hopeful for a reinforcement of the kits, and that in this training that started today with 18 young people, they expect to receive at least 15 projects for evaluation, and if they are viable, he believes that they will be financed “to a large extent” .

On the part of the City Council of Brava, councilor Mário Soares showed that expectations are in accordance with what is the policy of the City Council and the Government program, which is to “create conditions for young people and ensure that the majority has access to employment and entrepreneurship”.

Hence, in this sequence, he advanced that PIN training is being promoted by the IEFP, where young people will develop their business ideas, stressing that in the group there are already young people with the initiative of self-employment and others with ambitions.

“This training will serve, above all, to expand their knowledge and improve business ideas so that at the end of the training they will be presented, where they will be subjected to an evaluation by competent authorities and after that see the feasibility of the projects to be contemplated ”, he stressed.
