The island of Brava currently has no active cases of covid-19, but 22 people are in home quarantine awaiting a response from the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests.

This information was provided today to Inforpress by Brava's health delegate, Júlio Barros, who said that the police station team has been on the ground carrying out screening tests, but, at the moment, he considers that the situation is "half-controlled".

Meanwhile, he reinforces the call for the need for everyone to collaborate in this fight, as he recalled that passengers from other islands with positive and active cases have entered every day and that there are still suspected cases on Brava awaiting a response from PCR tests.

In addition, he once again “pressed” the prevention and protection key, asking the population of Brave to continue to follow the measures issued by the Government, whether in social distancing, wearing a mask, hand hygiene and everything that is within people’s reach to avoid contamination and spread of the virus.

Since the emergence of the first five positive cases on the 13th of October, the island has already recorded 22 contaminations with covid-19 and all have already recovered.
