The kindergarten in Cachaço will receive rehabilitation works later this year with a view to improving its conditions and offering “more dignity” to children and staff.
This information was provided today by the mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares, who announced the signing of two program-contracts with the Ministry of Family and Social Inclusion worth 1 million escudos, which will be used for this intervention, to support some families vulnerable in building toilets and financing two or three cases of support for income-generating activities.
In the area of rehabilitation of kindergartens, he highlighted that the previous year, with the funding that the council received, he carried out the intervention in the garden in the town of Furna.
He highlighted that the interventions in the garden of Cachaço will be identical to that of Furna, justifying that these gardens have structural problems, being necessary to attack the part of the runoff and drainage of rainwater, the part of the electricity that is already compromised due to infiltrations, painting general, replacing doors and windows, improving the water connection and even seeing if they can stretch to treat the floor and fence.
Asked about the start of the works, he informed that they will start as soon as the money enters the city hall, advancing, however, that some bathrooms are already being built at that moment, through an agreement that was signed with some contractors who agreed to proceed with the works and after the release of the funds the payment will be made.
