Brava: Locality of Braga receives protective walls on the access road

The access road to the town of Braga, in Brava, is receiving some interventions, including the construction of walls and curtains, works financed by the program to mitigate the bad agricultural year 2021/22.

The information was provided to Inforpress by the mayor of Brava, noting that in the previous mandate interventions were carried out in the homes of ten families and the work that is taking place on the access road to the area is one of the priority wishes of the residents.

According to the mayor, this concern was raised at a meeting held in the area, where, in addition to protection on the road, residents wanted to see the conditions of the community center improved.

However, at this first moment, works have already started on the road, with a budget stipulated between 1,200 to 1,500 contos, but according to the mayor, the value will change, justifying it with the variation in the prices of materials on the island.

The same source acknowledged that the road has a certain incline and with some danger.

In this same locality, Francisco Tavares informed that on Monday, the neediest families will start a work front to clean the entire length of paths and roads inside Braga, in a project also financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and that will also cover other locations on the island.
