Brava City Council clarifies lack of knowledge and disconnection from campaign to support children's gardens
City of Nova Sintra, November 4, 2023 - The Brava City Council, after learning through social media, especially Facebook and the electronic newspaper BravaNews, of a campaign entitled "Children's Garden in the town of Mato, Brava, seeks support to provide essential education and care to children", publicly clarified his total disengagement and lack of knowledge regarding the aforementioned initiative.
In official statements, the local authority reinforced that it had no participation in or prior knowledge of the aforementioned campaign. They categorically stated that the management of all kindergartens in the region is the direct and exclusive responsibility of the municipal administration, and any publicity or request for support must be coordinated through the official channels of the City Council.
The local administration clarified that, although it recognizes the importance of community support and engagement in promoting children's education and well-being, the campaign in question had no official origin or support from the municipality. They highlighted that they are committed to ensuring that all information related to educational and social programs is disseminated in a transparent and authentic manner, always through established official channels.
Brava City Council reported that it is actively investigating the origin and nature of this unauthorized campaign, with the aim of clarifying any misunderstandings and avoiding future discrepancies of this type.
Finally, the local administration reinforced its ongoing commitment to the community, ensuring efficiency and transparency in the management of kindergartens in the region, always aiming for the best interests and development of children.
The municipality also asked the population, when they become aware of actions or campaigns related to municipal services, to check their authenticity and official support, seeking information directly through the City Council's communication channels to avoid possible mistakes. New information or updates regarding this incident will be communicated by local administration as the investigation progresses.

1- Brava City Council completely demarcates this publication as it has no knowledge of it. In our opinion, it was done by third parties without any coordination with the local authority that manages all kindergartens in Brava.
two- We must list some costs included in this request that are non-existent in this kindergarten:
The) Monthly financing for school bus and driver;
B) Monthly financing for internet;
3- The City Council, as responsible for the administrative and financial management of the Pre-School, covers all other costs, namely:
The) Energy and water;
B) Payment of employees;
w) Hygiene and cleaning materials;
d) Infrastructure maintenance;
The hot meal is provided by FICASE and with the contribution of parents and guardians.
For the above, the City Council would like to thank all those who have helped in some way the entire education sector on the island and, to those who wish to provide some support, we warn that this must be done in close coordination with the local authority and the Preschool Coordination. -school system of the Ministry of Education, in order to be as transparent as possible and in full harmony to avoid any type of speculation and embarrassment.
