Brava City Council continues the "Every House a Bathroom" program in Partnership with the Ministry of Family and Social Inclusion
Nova Sintra, December 23, 2023 (Bravanews) -Last week, Brava City Council continued the ambitious program "Every House a Bathroom", in partnership with the Ministry of Family and Social Inclusion. The objective of the program is to provide decent hygiene and basic sanitation conditions for the most needy families in the region.
In this first phase, two families, one in Cova de Joana and the other in Clara Gonçalves, were the beneficiaries of this initiative. Both welcomed the opening of their new bathrooms, marking the beginning of a significant transformation in their lives.
The "Cada Casa uma Casa de Banho" project aims to bring basic sanitation to every home on the island, promoting not only physical health, but also the emotional and social well-being of families. Brava City Council and the Ministry of Family and Social Inclusion joined efforts to ensure that no citizen is deprived of this fundamental right.
The President of Brava City Council, Francisco Tavares, expressed his satisfaction at seeing the positive impact of the program on the city's most needy communities. "We are committed to improving the quality of life of our fellow citizens, starting with ensuring basic hygiene conditions in their homes. The partnership with the Ministry of Family and Social Inclusion is fundamental to achieving this ambitious objective”, wrote the President on his social networks .
