Brava: Employment and Employability Network plans next project phase

The Brava Employment and Employability Network intends to start, in 2020, its second project aimed at promoting employment and employability, already planning three training courses with the possibility of entering the market.

According to the focal point of the network on Brava, Mário Soares, the plan of activities outlined for 2019 is already at an end and, with the exception of two activities that have not yet been carried out, but which are already scheduled, it can be said that the plan was executed at “100 percent (%)”.

Mário Soares also added that in this mission, carried out last Friday, the 15th, an evaluation was made of the activities carried out by the Network up to this point, deserving a positive evaluation both from the coordinators, as well as from the members and from the target public. , who, in addition to the training methodology, positively evaluated their relevance

For the next phase, the network will proceed with the delivery of kits to its target audience, but for this year, meetings are scheduled with members of the network, a meeting of networks at national level that will take place next December on the island from May.

For the island of Brava in particular, a lecture on employment and employability has already been scheduled for the 17th of December.

On the prospects for the next steps, more specifically the second project, Mário Soares stressed that this focuses on the promotion and dissemination of the network, but also on the employment factor.

To publicize the network, the focal point commented that they will create groups within the network to raise awareness of local institutions and invite them to participate in it, as well as looking for partners to fit the trainees that the network will prepare for the job market. work.

With regard to employment, he stressed that three training actions were planned, which were still to be discussed within the network and the community, regarding opportunities for employability, importance and relevance.

But, he added that one of these training actions will be in cutting and sewing, which is already in its second phase, in partnership with the School Delegation that intends to “extend to reinforce” the capacities of the target public.

From the sixth mission, they scheduled the seventh, which will take place on January 14 and 15, 2020.
