According to the program that Inforpress had access to, the entourage arrives on the island today, and starts and begins to carry out the program tomorrow this Wednesday, with a courtesy visit to the city hall of Brava, visit to the health and the Libratequinhas de Nova Sintra project.
Afterwards, the Head of State travels to the towns of Cachaço, Nossa Senhora do Monte, Mato, Cova Rodela, Mato Grande, João da Noli and Fajã D´Agua, for direct contact with the population.
On Thursday, the day begins with contacts in the town of Santa Bárbara and Furna, followed by visits to some institutions, businessmen and contact with the population of Nova Sintra.
At the end of the day, the launch of the book “Cabo Verde, Nós Bilida d´Odju”, by José Pereira, is scheduled, followed by the exhibition of photographs “OS BRAVAS”, by the same author and photographer.
To finalize the agenda, on Friday he visits the towns of Palhal and Lomba Tantum, some institution and at the end of the afternoon he participates in the inauguration of the Polyvalent in Mato.
Asked about the expectations of this trip by Jorge Carlos Fonseca to Ilha Brava, the mayor, Francisco Tavares, stressed that it is yet another visit by an entity “very friendly” to the island, which brings “more visibility” to it, adding that the President of República comes to the island essentially for contacts with the population, so much so that the program includes visits to different locations.
Thus, he says he hopes that the population will address the entourage and talk openly with the Head of State, mainly about these three years of drought, the difficulties, demonstrate satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the late or non-arrival of public authorities in the localities.
The mayor also added that it is a visit that he hopes will bring gains in terms of giving greater visibility to Brava's problems.
