Brava: Municipal Civil Protection meets with LuxDev Climate Action Program consultant
The Municipal Civil Protection service will meet this Thursday, 10th, with the consultant from the LuxDev Climate Action Program to discuss the Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery Plan for Brava.
In a statement sent to Inforpress, the Municipal Civil Protection service explains that the plan aims to “assess” the technology and capacity needs of key institutions and services in Cape Verde for the operationalization of the National Framework for Climate Services.
The program is being financed by the Luxembourg Cooperation in Cape Verde and was launched in February 2023, with the aim, until 2025, to support Cape Verde in the implementation of its new climate policy, as materialized in December 2021 by the National Plan of National Adaptation Plan (NAP) (September 2022), establishing a consolidated climate governance that results in a more climate resistant country with low greenhouse gas emissions.
