Brava: Responsible for the training area calls for young people to participate in upcoming professional training actions

The person in charge of education and training at Brava City Council, Mário Soares, today appealed to young people to be motivated and to enroll in professional training actions, scheduled to start next October.

Speaking to Inforpress, this official said that enrollment is now open for training in the area of Locksmithing and Aluminum Level III, Civil Construction Painting, and Carpentry Level I, as part of the Municipal Action Plan – PAM.

For the Level III course, the source informed that the required requirements are the 8th year of schooling, a certificate of academic qualifications and a copy of the individual's identification document.

As for Level I courses, the same documents are required, although the required education level is 6th grade.

Enrollments, according to this official, are already open at the services of the City Council, where the objective of these training courses is to “train and qualify” Brava's staff in the most varied aspects, preparing young people for the job market in the same way. , through the promotion of employment and employability.

These training courses were selected because, according to the councilor, they are in accordance with the need to reinforce these sectors on the island, since “there is a lot of demand and few qualified people in these areas”.

At the moment, he stressed that they are looking for funding from partners to cover the logistical part of the training, but he stressed that those interested, if they have to pay some amount, can apply for scholarships from the Fund for the Promotion of Employment and Training (FPEF ).

The training will be provided in partnership with the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), through the Employment and Professional Training Center of Fogo e Brava.
