The Escola Básica da Furna (EBF) took to the streets of Furna today to alert people to the need for “environmental sustainability”, the theme chosen for its Carnival parade and which was supported by the environmental association Biflores.

Speaking to Inforpress, Gerson Delgado, head of the EBF, explained that this was the theme chosen this year, as it is a theme that is currently “on the rise” and also to draw attention to the need to preserve the environment.

And with this theme, he says he believes they managed to get the message across, dictated by the community's adherence and the presentation that the children involved made.

This message, as he also mentioned, was portrayed in the song they presented this year, appealing to the fight for the environment in order to combat desertification, drought and pollution, which are some of the evils that have been plaguing society, but also the lack of of drinking water, less pollution of the sea and more protection of species.

In short, this official highlighted that the preservation of the environment is the focus and with a responsible and conscious use everything can be used today, but will also allow future generations to know and enjoy the endemic species in relation to plants, turtles and other species. marine life, having access to potable water and a healthy environment, among other aspects, gains that will only be possible to achieve with the preservation of the environment.

For her part, Dilma Lopes, a technician from Biflores, the school's partner in this activity, explained that the environmental association, in Brava, works with the whole of society, but also with the educational community.

In this sense, he showed that they decided to invest in financing this EBF project because the theme was environmental sustainability, which has everything to do with the work that the association does in the community.

And in the end, the balance is “positive”, justifying that “the children are already becoming familiar with the care to be taken with the environment and the people of the community have also engaged, allowing a greater dissemination of the message”.

Likewise, Dilma Lopes left an appeal to the whole community to be more creative and present more environmental projects, indicating that Biflores is always open to support.

“Whenever we join efforts, something valuable always comes out”, concluded the technician, recalling that unity makes strength.
