Brava: Sports Councilor envisages a futsal nucleus to boost and organize regional competitions
The Sports councilor plans, as a next step, the creation of a futsal nucleus for the “dynamization” and organization of regional competitions, in Brava, with new referees already being trained in this modality.
The Sports councilor of the Brava City Council, Mário Soares, made this announcement, on the sidelines of the ceremony to hand over the certificates and equipment to the eight new futsal referees, recently graduated, which took place this Tuesday.
“The creation of a futsal nucleus is extremely important and, therefore, the referees who are already trained must be extremely well represented”, he highlighted, believing that, at this moment, there are already qualified people and infrastructure conditions. for holding regional futsal competitions.
The city council, together with its partners and collaborators, provided some equipment that was distributed to the new referees, however, the councilor promised that he will continue to look for new partnerships to dignify the class.
“We intend to create all the conditions for the events to be carried out with minimum conditions and with strong engagement from the private and public sector”, he highlighted, further reinforcing that they await the collaboration of all athletes, teams and managers, to embrace this project.
Reinaldo Ramos, one of the members of this initiative, highlighted that the creation of a futsal nucleus is what was missing in this sport on the island, because, he explained, young people have only been practicing this sport during periods of traditional festivals.
“We need to create a responsible group, now we have trained referees and this is a very important step towards making the futsal competition official at national level”, he noted.
Reinaldo Ramos also assured that, in regional terms, they will create their permanent competitions and that they will not just wait for traditional festivals to organize a competition.
In turn, graduate Napoleão Gomes considered that the creation of a futsal nucleus is of “great relevance”, taking into account that, on the island, there are many young people who practice this type of sport and also because Brava has not been participate in futsal competitions at national level.
“A group must be created to develop futsal in the municipality, because it is an extremely important sport on our island”, he considered.
