Brava: Court applies preventive detention to individual detained by the PN in possession of drugs

The Court of Brava today sent to preventive detention a male individual arrested by the National Police (PN), on Friday, 17, in flagrante delicto in possession of a certain amount of drugs and money.

The 32-year-old individual, born in Nova Sintra, was presented today to the Public Ministry (MP) for the first judicial interrogation and the most serious coercive measure was applied to him, preventive detention.

The suspect, who had already been arrested on the 4th of January and who, according to judicial sources, when presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office, was applied as a coercive measure to periodic presentation to the police authority and ban on leaving the country, is at the Brava Police Station waiting to be taken to the São Filipe Civil Prison on the island of Fogo.
