Brava: Diva Burgo defends her final thesis in Biological Sciences with a grade of nineteen

Diva Burgo, a student at the University of Cape Verde, finished her course in Biological Sciences this year, having defended her thesis "Analysis of the diet of the Owl Tyto alba in the Ilheu de Cima, Cape Verde in 2021 and 2022", having obtained the final grade of nineteen values.

A student with an enviable path who, from the very first steps, showed herself to be very studious and with a need to know the reason for things.

In a message on social media, Diva thanked her family, Brava City Council and everyone who, in one way or another, helped to make everything a success.

“For some years now, the city council of Brava has been honoring the 2 best students in the 12th year with a subsidy for the payment of 100% of the university fee. As one of the best students in the 2017/2018 academic year, I was a beneficiary of the said subsidy. Today, I defended my end-of-course work in Biological Sciences in the environmental field at the University of Cape Verde (Unicv) and obtained a final grade of 19.

Fruit of hard work over the years and many efforts. Therefore, I would like to thank the City Council for their support and thank my family for their support over the years. I would also like to launch an appeal to the young people of Brava Island to dedicate themselves to the good and future of our dear Brava.

A thank you to all."

Speaking to Bravanews, Burgo advances that an article on this defense will soon be published, as the subject needs to be known by the general public and by all those who are interested in the subject.

Being a lover of his home island, Diva appeals to young people to dedicate all their energy and effort towards the island's future.

Regarding the next steps, our interlocutor said that nothing has been defined yet, but she is thinking about doing a professional internship at the Biflores association or at Inida (National Institute for Agricultural Development).
