“Taking into account that at a global level entrepreneurship is already one of the development sectors and at the level of academic training it is not possible to respond to everything, it is necessary to look for alternatives”, said Mário Soares.
According to the same source, this area of action will awaken in Cape Verdeans, especially in young people from Brave, business ideas, self-employment and, in the future, with dynamism and creativity guidance, create a business that guarantees self-employment and can create employment opportunities for others.
Asked about the target audience, students in the ninth year of Escola Secundária Eugénio Tavares (ESET), Mário Soares explained that since most of the young people are at ESET, they obtained authorization from the management for students to participate .
Mário Soares added that the 11th and 12th grade students already have the entrepreneurship course and, therefore, decided to work with the ninth grade students to awaken in them the “click and interest” in entrepreneurship.
With this “click”, reinforced Mário Soares, anyone who wants to embark on the area of entrepreneurship and has an idea, can turn it into a business idea and complemented with GERME, GIN and PIN training, can mature it and later apply for it. to some financing that exists in the country.
Trainer Nelson Miranda said that he tried to awaken students' interest in creating their own income, since today the market is increasingly competitive, the job market is limited.
Nelson Miranda showed them the main characteristics of an entrepreneur, skills for employability, among other “crucial” aspects for the area.
With regard to the Employment and Employability network, the coordinator highlighted that this year they carried out several training actions, lectures, among others, and this was the last activity of 2019 and, with that, they concluded the implementation of the activity plan, carried out at 100 per cent.
