Brava: Mass and inauguration of the sports and cultural complex mark the feast of the patron saint Nossa Senhora do Monte

The feast of Nossa Senhora do Monte, on Ilha Brava, patron saint of this parish, created five years ago, will be celebrated with a solemn mass and the inauguration of the sports and cultural complex.

According to the organization, the Eucharist in honor of the patron saint, which constitutes the "high point" of the ceremony, marked Saturday, 15, is scheduled for 11:00 am, without the procession and the traditional popular lunch in the afternoon, due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Regarding other activities, the mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares, speaking to Inforpress, pointed out that there will be the inauguration of the cultural sports complex.

This space, as the mayor explained, “will make the town gain a gym, a cafeteria, a multimedia center, space for two or three small shops, a large hall for cultural activities with all the conditions for that and in the sports part, with the total refurbishment of the multipurpose area with a synthetic acrylic floor and night lighting”.

In the same space, the first square of this parish will be inaugurated.
