Brava: Noite Branca with positive evaluation from the organization and the public

The White Night held this Sunday, the 16th, was well liked by the public and the organization who gave it a “positive” rating for the activities carried out, the participation of the groups and the general public.

Neusa Carvalho, one of the organizers, in a conversation with Inforpress, said that they managed to carry out 80 percent (%) of the planned activities, only regretting the withdrawal of two invited groups.

But, according to the same source, their withdrawal did not cause "alterations" in the program, stressing that the remaining participants ended up filling the gap and the public had fun around the presentations and performances made.

Incidentally, a fact highlighted by the person in charge was the “great participation” of the public that practically filled the square where the activities took place.

Neusa Carvalho noted, however, that the organization of the event expected the public to participate dressed in white, but this was not the case.

The same source explained that last year they involved the city council in holding the event, but this year "they organized everything, invited the groups and only asked the municipality for support in transport and sound".

“We invited the groups, we gave assistance, we encouraged each of the leaders we elected in high school, so that everything worked out and they didn't give up, something that worked”, emphasized the promoter.

About upcoming activities, Neusa Carvalho said that they intend to continue, since on the island few creative, cultural and public coexistence activities are carried out.

He said that last year they created a group to carry out activities with the aim of moving the island, but some members, not being from Brava, had to travel, reducing the number of participants, leading to the project not going ahead.

With the success of the Sunday activity, taking into account that the participation of the groups was free and done “with love”, the organization will “analyze and try to proceed with the creation of an annual program”.

To organize such activities, Neusa Carvalho said that it is first necessary to work with the people, the general public and the groups that will participate in the activities, encouraging them to be more active and participative.

The person in charge indicated this factor as being the biggest “Achilles heel” in the organization, realization and success of activities on the island.

The public addressed by Inforpress is waiting for more activities of this type, since, from the youngest to the adults and elderly present, there were smiles, with theatrical presentations, dances, music, among others.

A fact that Inforpress found is that in other cities where activities of this type are carried out, there is a great movement in terms of commerce, sales of toys, gifts, among other items.

At Brava, only one person went to sell cotton candy, with the terrace in the square selling snacks and other food products.
