A group of passengers from Brava Island who have been waiting for a few days for the return trip accuse the CV Interilhas company of “negligence” and of keeping them on the island “without concrete information”.
According to Austelino Tavares, spokesman for the group, in statements to Inforpress, there are passengers who have been waiting for information about the boat to Brava Island since Saturday. Tavares arrived at Fogo Island on Sunday, with the forecast that he could continue his trip to Brava Island on the same day.
However, according to the same source, they sent a message announcing that the trip scheduled for Sunday was postponed to Tuesday, but when he went to confirm with the agency, he was informed that the ship had already gone to Brava Island.
Hence, Austelino Tavares accused CV Interilhas of “negligence and failures in communication”.
However, he stressed that they were presented with a stopover in which the ship would make a direct Praia-Brava trip today, but would not pass through Fogo Island to take passengers who are stranded there.
Austelino Tavares regrets the “lack of information and consideration” on the part of CV Interilhas, an act that harms passengers at a professional level and even in terms of accommodation, as many are in pensions and hotels, with the resulting costs.
In addition, the same source added that on the island there is no one in the agencies belonging to the company who can listen and solve the problems of Brava passengers.
