The official underlined that the period that ran from the 8th to the 26th of October was “quiet with nothing worth highlighting”, that is, “everything went as normal”.
According to the same source, even on election day and on Monday, the 26th, when the winning team held a parade through the various areas of the island, its police team “did not register any incidents”.
This behavior, as he explained, is a sign that “the people are aware of their duty, not guided by things that lead to bad paths”.
Regarding the covid-19 pandemic, the island currently has seven active cases, Higor Almeida took the opportunity to appeal for compliance with the new law on the use of the mask.
He said he believes people will make their contribution in what is the use of the mask to prevent the spread of the virus, because, he stressed, “it is for the good of all”.
For the period of the electoral campaign, the police station had its 20 staff on the ground, as a way of “guaranteeing the security and normality of the period and the process”.
