The target public of Brava's employment and employability network started today a training course in associativism and cooperativism, another step of preparation for obtaining the kits .
Speaking to Inforpress, trainer Elisia de Cruz explained that the objective is to "instill and sensitize" trainees to introduce associative culture in their daily lives.
Because, according to her, from the moment they leave the training phase and move on to the transformation units, that is, the business world, the problems encountered do not always have individual solutions.
The trainer also pointed out that many times, taking into account the insularity of the country, problems are solved through local union, which can be in the form of associations or cooperatives.
However, he pointed out that in the matter of cooperatives, although they have existed for some time in the country, there are still difficulties in functioning with the respective “normality”.
Hence, he added that during the five days, from the 11th to the 15th of November, he will show the trainees the “importance and the need” to unite in groups for production, sale, problem solving within the business environment, give them techniques of management of small conflicts, group problems, ways of raising funds, among others.
For the focal point of the network on the island, Mário Soares, this training action is an “additional asset” for the young women and heads of families, who will later work in groups, and this is an essential step towards achieving the objective main can be achieved.
Regarding the kits, he added that they will be allocated by groups, and in Furna they will offer two, one for Lomba Tantum and another for Fajã d´Água.
Regarding the cost, he explained that it is still not possible to move forward, because they are still in the market analysis phase and identification of the necessary equipment, but there is a forecast that it could exceed one million escudos.
In particular, he informed that they are kits in the area of fish processing, taking into account that fish surpluses are often not used in the best way on the island.
And with that, there is now a diversification of fish products, from smoking, hamburger, fish chorizo and other products that may be the result of fish processing.
