Speaking to Inforpress, the director of the Nova Sintra Educational Complex, Pascoal Fernandes, explained that today was essentially to present teachers with the schedule of activities to be carried out in the next four weeks.
Because, as he emphasized, this year “requires” new skills from teachers, mainly in the issue of distance education and digital educational resources.
And, for that, he stressed that during the four or five weeks a range of training will be given so that teachers can have a minimum of knowledge in these areas and thus move forward with work in the classrooms.
In addition to training and capacity building for teaching staff, he informed that there will also be awareness-raising and information actions for parents and guardians, as well as for students.
This process, for the person in charge, is a “fine-tuning of all the edges to start the year at 100 percent (%)”.
“It's going to be a different year, so it requires some competence from us that we hadn't developed before, but which needs to be developed”, concluded Pascoal Fernandes.
On his turn, the delegate of the Ministry of Education of Brava, Orlando Burgo advanced that, in addition to the welcome sessions in the groups, in the delegation they were discussing and adapting the activities to the new reality.
“The schedule of activities is vast, there is a set of training at various levels, from different disciplines and themes, where at the end of each week we will establish a program at the county level, adapting the activities to be carried out at a national level to our reality ”, said the delegate.
The same source considered that this school year will be “atypical”, because of the pandemic, and that, despite the fact that Brava is experiencing a “normal situation”, it is necessary to be aware that the situation can change at any time. .
Depending on the evolution of the situation, he said that they will adapt to the reality of the activities to be carried out.
At national level, he underlined that distance classes start on the 15th of September, and in person from the 1st of October, reinforcing that, in Brava, it provides for a “normal” scenario or timetable, different from other municipalities in the country. Country.
