Shell's agent in Brava, Daniel Miranda, confirmed today the rupture of the "stock" of butane gas and fuel to supply the power plant, which he says has been at zero for almost three weeks.

The agent made these statements to Inforpress, when confronted with concerns from several housewives who sought out the agency to demonstrate their concerns and dissatisfaction with the lack of gas.

Hence, Daniel Miranda advanced that, probably, this weekend, Saturday or Sunday, there will already be gas available to supply all the retail stations, remembering that it depends on the supplier, but that they are pressuring him to resolve this situation.

Because, as he advanced, “the island is rural, but people are already unused to using firewood, which has been an ordeal for everyone”.

Daniel Miranda considered this situation “complicated”, taking into account that as it progressed, not even Enacol has gas to supply the population.

Asked about the reasons for this rupture and for a prolonged period, he explained that the ship was at the dock and there were some complications with the filling of the tares.

According to the agent, not long ago Shell ran a campaign enticing people to hand over the empty tarpaulins that they no longer used, for compensation, although these are owned by the oil company.

In addition to being a Shell property, Daniel Miranda reinforced that the taras represent some damage to the environment, stressing that in some cases these taras are abandoned in inappropriate spaces, pointing out that even in the Rasos islets they found abandoned taras.

This situation was considered by the agent to be a “bad policy” by resellers who, as he stated, often sell gas without the buyer delivering the empty tare, but which is now “more controlled”.

Daniel Miranda also took the opportunity to appeal to people who have flaws at home that are useless to use Shell services and make their delivery.
