Sporting's coach, Ney Lôkô, said that his team will enter the field for the Brava regional championship games and fight against everyone, from opposing teams, arbitration and the Regional Football Association.
Sporting's coach, Ney Lôkô, said that his team will enter the field for the Brava regional championship games and fight against everyone, from opposing teams, arbitration and the Regional Football Association.
Ney Lôkô made this statement to the press after the result of the game of the fourth round of the Opening Tournament of the 2019/2020 sports season, played against Morabeza, who defeated his team by 4-3, becoming the winner of the tournament.
According to the coach, for those who witnessed the game, the Sporting team "was clearly robbed" by the refereeing team, noting that this was one of the "most shameful" referees he has ever witnessed in Brava.
“A great job has been done in terms of arbitration, but the refereeing of the game really did not dignify the work that has been done”, said the coach.
He considered that in this Saturday's game, the Sporting team entered "well and strong", adding that they "completely dominated" the first part of the game, but that the referee, in any Sporting move, marked a foul and presented a yellow card, but for the opposing team there was never a foul or cards.
"On top of sacrifices, with two players less we scored our third goal, then we got three less and it's an eternity to play with three players less for about 40 minutes", he said.
Reinforcing, he accused that this is a job that has been done in Brava against the Sporting team, because on the island, he stressed, instead of supporting a job well done, everything is done to eliminate and harm it. .
"It's not just the referee's job but also a job done by the regional football association to harm the whole team, among others", accused Ney Lôkô.
But, he recalled that it is still “only the Opening Tournament” and even if losing is “sad”, he informed that he will readjust the team and make a “great championship”.
“We are going to enter the field, fight against the association, against arbitration and all the teams that do their jobs to beat Sporting”, stressed the coach, calling on the Cabo Verdean Football Federation to take measures in the face of the situation, as Sporting he finds himself “alone” on Brava.
In turn, Morabeza's coach, Jorge Rodrigues, pointed out that his team presented a different eleven in each game, with the aim of seeing which squad they had, the difficulties and analyzing the team's possibilities for the future.
In these four games, he considered that the team gave “good responses” and in the game against Sporting, despite having entered a little nervous, justifying that several players are playing on the island for the first time and perhaps the prevailing concept that Sporting is superior or ruler on the island, conveyed some fear to them.
He emphasized that it is just the Opening Tournament and that they will work harder for the championship and encourage the squad to give their “maximum” every time they enter the field.
