City of Nova Sintra, November 8, 2023 - An immigrant couple originally from Brava, José Fernandes and Sarita DaRosa, are leaving their mark on the island by actively supporting the development of local sport. Affectionately known as Zé and Saritá among friends, the couple once again demonstrated their commitment to the community by making a significant donation of sports materials to newly graduated futsal referees.
In partnership with the Henry team and the support of Brava City Council, Zé and Saritá have stood out in meeting the needs of both sports teams and athletes themselves. Their tireless dedication to strengthening sport on the island, where they grew up, is evident. Its objective is clear: to level the playing field so that athletes from Brava can compete on equal terms with other islands.
