Former deputy and former coordinator of the MpD in the United States was furious with the absence of Ulisses Correia e Silva at the dinner in tribute to Carlos Veiga held last September 28 in Swansea, Massachusetts and published a violent post against the fan leader. "What party caste is this?"

Cândido Rodrigues is angry with the president of the MpD, the party for which he was elected deputy for the circle of the Americas. Everything, it seems, against the backdrop of not only the absence of Ulisses Correia e Silva at the tribute dinner offered by a group of Cape Verdeans to the former prime minister and current ambassador in Washington, Carlos Veiga, but also the fact that , according to Rodrigues, the president of the MpD himself gave "orders to all militants, including government officials, not to participate in the party at the Venus de Milo (where this dinner would take place) while he was in a hotel in Boston with a delegation".

In a post published at midnight this Wednesday , October 2, on his Facebook page, the former coordinator of fans in the USA does not spare Ulisses Correia e Silva, who, in his view, carries "a hatred " against his person. But, continues Cândido Rodrigues, "the strategy fell to the ground, as our credibility in this community goes beyond political symbology. We are attentive and do not admit illegalities. The party has rules and everyone, even the president, must comply with these rules".

Before that, Rodrigues, one of the MpD's fiercest militants and activists in the US, being one of the most fervent supporters of Carlos Veiga for the Presidency of the Republic, tells how the fan leader has been dividing the party in the United States. "Three years ago, elections were held in the US in which two lists participated: one led by Montrond and the other by Cristiano Monteiro. From these two lists, 13 people were elected on the Montrond list and 11 on Cristiano Monteiro's. However, Ulisses tries to escape the group of people elected on Cristiano's list trying to promote the other group because they think Cristiano's group has my support", writes Cândido Rodrigues, underlining: "However, the president of the party who talks so much about internal rules and respect for the statute , is the first to violate these rules".

This is because, according to the former MpD deputy for the constituency of the Americas, "the coordinator of the MpD promoted by Ulisses left the party more than two years ago and now the president of the party has appointed a militant from Cape Verde as provisional coordinator avoiding elections so as not to lose control of the US. What kind of party is this? Do we have a statute with clear rules or not?", questions, irritated, Cândido Rodrigues.

"I know that many unwary service people will comment saying that I am angry. The one who hates it is the president of the party himself who decided to set up the whole party machine against me for having rejected Harold Tavares as an antenna for coordinating the diaspora and at the end of week gave orders to all militants, including government officials, not to participate in the Venus de Milo party, as he was in a hotel in Boston with an entourage. But the strategy fell to the ground, as our credibility in this community goes beyond political symbology. we do not admit illegalities. The party has rules for everyone, even the president must comply with these rules", concluded Cândido Rodrigues, who, it should be said, is an assumed veiguista, being, therefore, an internal opponent of Ulisses as leader of the MpD.
