The cleaning action, which began in the early hours of Monday morning, is being led by a highly trained team, made up of cleaning professionals hired by CMB and experienced local sanitation employees. Equipped with appropriate tools and vehicles, they are determined to eliminate waste, rubble and any unwanted elements that have accumulated on Rua Pedonal caused by the recent rains.

However, CMB does not want this to be a task just for contract workers and public servants. They are making a warm appeal to all residents and citizens of Furna to join them in the initiative. Active community participation can significantly speed up the cleaning process, making it more effective and efficient.

The President of CMB, Francisco Tavares, appealed to the community to help. He said: "Cleaning up in Furna is a shared responsibility. We are committed to cleaning up all debris, dirt and mud as quickly as possible. We ask all residents and citizens to join us in this joint effort. The more hands we have, the faster and better the result will be."

The local cleanup operation is scheduled to last several days, during which volunteers are encouraged to join the efforts whenever possible. CMB will provide protective equipment and safety guidance to ensure everyone can contribute safely.
