Júlio Barros informed that today 60 rapid tests were applied, with one positive and that he keeps 18 responses of PCR tests sent to the virology laboratory in Fogo and two more to be carried out in Brava.
According to the delegate, the cases are no longer concentrated only in Vila de Nova Sintra, taking into account that there are already positive cases in Cova Rodela, Mato Grande and suspect in Cachaço, which shows that the cases have started to spread to other areas.
Hence, appealing to the population to continue to wear the mask, to observe physical distance, hand washing and the use of alcohol gel, in addition to asking for “a reinforcement of education and awareness” on the part of parents and guardians, but as well as educational agents.
According to data from the Ministry of Health released today, Cape Verde accounts for 7,796 recovered cases, of which 95 today, 710 active cases, 95 deaths and two transferred patients, making a cumulative total of 8,603 positive cases.
