The Cape Verde Red Cross (CVCV) expects the computerization of social games to begin operating in December this year, the institution's president said today.

Arlindo Soares de Carvalho gave this information in statements to the press, in the city of Nova Sintra, announcing that the system is almost ready, and that around 90 percent (%) of the project has already been developed.

At this moment, he informed, the platform that supports new technologies, the Internet, including banking and financial businesses, is in the contract assembly phase.

Regarding banking and finance, Arlindo de Carvalho highlighted that he is “signing deals” with commercial banks and also with telecommunications companies and international platforms where they will allocate the 'cloud'.

Likewise, he highlighted that they will define the network of agencies that will operate in this new phase, highlighting that it is a new reality and the agencies will now operate in a different model, with computers, scanners, printers, stating that they have already requested all the equipment and within the month From October, the team working on the project will test the functioning of the system in Cape Verde so that the definitive start-up of the system can begin in December 2023.

CVCV received the concession to operate the national lottery in 1977 and in 1997 it was chosen to manage the totoloto and joker, throughout the national territory and in November 2020 the institution signed a concession agreement with the State of Cape Verde for 20 years on an exclusive basis for exploring social games.
