Débora Carvalho reintegrates Ímpar staff

The first lady of Cape Verde, Débora Katisa Carvalho, is the new South coordinating director of the insurance company Ímpar, a company with which she was involved for seven years, confirmed Santiago Magazine.

The manager took on her new duties this week and follows the departure of the previous director, Kamila Monteiro.

Débora Carvalho thus returns to work at a company, Ímpar, of which she was Commercial Director for seven years, well before joining CV Telecom. With the victory of José Maria Neves in the 2021 presidential elections, Débora Carvalho became first lady and received a salary of 310 contos monthly, awarded irregularly and supposedly illegally by the Presidency of the Republic, a fact that caused controversy in the country, which is why which payment was suspended until the General Inspectorate of Finance clarifies the case.

Débora Carvalho has a Master's degree in Marketing, with a specialization in Country Branding and a Degree in Management. She has served as Commercial Director at Companhia Cabo-verdiana de Seguros IMPAR and as Lecturer at the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde.

Until December 2021, she served as General Director of CV Móvel. She is also a PhD student in Climate Change and Sustainable Development. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the José Maria Neves Foundation for Governance.

Activist of causes for which she has been fighting for several years, such as climate change and sustainable development, as well as animal protection, Débora Carvalho, elected as First Lady, social solidarity, such as the fight against poverty, the fight against gender-based and sexual violence against children, the promotion of decent housing and responsible fatherhood and motherhood, and Active Citizenship as major causes.
