EasyJet starts low-cost flights between Portugal and Cape Verde
easyJet will begin low-cost flights between Portugal and Cape Verde from October, offering a new, more affordable travel option between the two countries.
The National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) authorized the airline easyJet to operate regular flights between Portugal and Cape Verde. From October 29th, easyJet will connect Porto and Lisbon airports to the island of Sal, marking its debut in West Africa and the first route beyond the Sahara.
With this new route, easyJet will offer four weekly flights between Lisbon and Sal and two weekly flights between Porto and Sal. The airline hopes that this new connection will be a success and is already planning to expand to other destinations in Cape Verde in the future .
This new route represents an opportunity for Portuguese and Cape Verdeans to travel at more affordable prices between the two countries, boosting tourism and strengthening ties between the two nations.
