The National Director of Education, Eleonora Sousa, told Inforpress today that the installation process of TV Educativa is "very well advanced" and that "certainly" there will be a need to recruit human resources.
“We are in the assembly process, because it requires a set of initiatives”, said the person in charge, specifying that the process of legalization and installation is in progress and that everything is “very well advanced”.
Asked whether more staff will be recruited to work at TV Educativa, Eleonora Sousa replied that "there will certainly be a need", but stressed that, at the moment, she is unable to advance numbers of people who will be recruited in this first phase.
"We are currently thinking about all the resources, both material and human, that the assembly of TV Educativa requires", he added.
The National Director of Education also said that Educational TV is a new experience and that, therefore, it is necessary to take steps in stages to set up a quality Educational TV.
The Government approved the diploma that authorizes the licensing of TV Educativa to carry out television activities in open signal with national coverage and its inclusion in the Terrestrial Digital Television (TDT) platform.
The information was transmitted last September 4th, in a press conference, in Praia, by the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Fernando Elísio Freire, informing that the intention of the executive is that, from October 1st, with the resumption of school activities, TV Educativa will be able to function.
