Speaking to the press, Edoneia Teixeira said that the team has been traveling to schools to closely monitor the identified students and also highlighted that there are also children who are unable to travel to be properly monitored due to the lack of transport.

In this case, as highlighted by the same source, the municipality's school delegation provides means of transport, which makes it easier for the team to travel to schools or even to family members' homes.

“The closer the monitoring is the even better”, he guaranteed.

In relation to teachers' monitoring of students with special needs, Edoneia Teixeira informed that each teacher must have a plan with the implementation of appropriate special educational measures.

“Special students have to have different times when taking the tests, because the tests are not the same as other children and their monitoring is slower”, he informed.

According to this person in charge, EMAEI does everything it can to ensure that there is no difference in the relationship between students in the classroom, but states that sometimes parents have difficulty accepting children with special needs and this makes the team's work difficult.

“We are all different, but equal in opportunities and rights, so I ask that we be more resilient, humble and empathetic towards these children”, he concluded.

EMAEI is one of the specific organizational resources to support learning and inclusion, with a view to a broad, integrated and participated reading of all those involved in the educational process.
