Football: Nô Pintcha beats Benfica (1-0) and qualifies for the final of the Brava Cup

The Nô Pintcha team beat Benfica by 1-0 at Estádio Aquiles D´Oliveira, and qualified for the final of the Taça Brava in football, referring to the 2022-2023 season.

In a game counting for the third round of the competition, the only goal was scored by Djewri, in the last minute of regulation time.

At the end of the game, the coach of the Furna fishing area team, Carlinhos Martins, said that the victory was "fair" due to the work carried out by the team within the game's rectangle.

According to the helmsman, because the regional championship is an “impossible” task, the team decided to bet on the Cup, having therefore won all the games of the three days played.

However, he took the opportunity to announce his departure, with the justification that the team spends more than two weeks without training, a situation that, according to Carlinhos Martins, is becoming unsustainable, "because there are objectives but no commitments".

For the Cup final game, “even if I am no longer guiding the team”, he said that, regardless of the opponent, it will not be easy, because the focus and objective of the finalist teams will be the same.

In turn, the player Delton, from Benfica, stressed that nothing is lost yet, taking into account that they will play in the semi-finals.

For the athlete, in the week leading up to the game, the team did not focus on training, “which was demonstrated during the 90 minutes of the game”.

In the second game of the day, Morabeza beat Corôa by 2-1, guaranteeing their passage to the semi-finals, scheduled for March 26th.

Morabeza's goals were scored by Keni and Déu, and Corô's only goal by Tchaliê, in the conversion of a penalty.

On Morabeza's side, Ney Lokô congratulated the team for the victory, underlining that the Cup games have not been carried out with the same commitment by their athletes, which is why, as he informed, that making some changes in the second half to turn around the game.

However, he pointed out that the team will focus on the regional championship, where next weekend they will face Nô Pintcha and the following week against Benfica, and then return to focus on the semi-finals of the Brava Cup, "with the aim of reaching in the end.

On the other hand, Hércules Frederico, coach of Corôa, regretted the result, emphasizing that. even considered a small team, demonstrated that on the field all teams are equal.

According to the same source, the team trained hard during the week, even with few players, but entered the field with their heads held high and morale, thus accusing the refereeing team of favoring Morabeza's team.

For now, it has shown that the focus will be on the three remaining games to be played in the championship.

In the classification of the Brava Cup, Nô Pintcha, already qualified for the final, leads with nine points, followed by Benfica and Morabeza with 4 points and Corôa, already eliminated, without any points.

Therefore, Nô Pintcha awaits in the final the winner of the game between Benfica and Morabeza, scheduled for March 23, referring to the semi-finals. The final of the Taça Brava is scheduled for the next 16th of April.

For the next weekend, the games of the regional championship will be resumed with the clashes Nô Pintcha – Morabeza and Benfica – Corôa.
