Fringes of the population of Brava against the choice of Francisco Tavares to head the MpD list for local authorities

This choice is revolting part of the population of Brava, mainly the most conservative, the religious, the teaching class and the elderly, due to the fact that months ago intimate images of the now candidate were leaked to the public.

“In a serious country, Tavares should be banned from politics and never work as a teacher again. It is revolting to know that the MpD, a party with a history in Cape Verde, is taking the bait, in a clear disrespect for the population of the island, to put him as a candidate” vents a resident of Nova Sintra.

“Francisco Tavares should run for something else, less to lead this municipality”, adds another young man from Santa Barbara in a joking tone, adding that the MpD had learned lessons from this disrespect for the island”.

The PAICV did not want to comment on the matter, as it says it is more concerned with presenting its ideas and being a strong alternative to put the island on the right path, towards development and for the benefit of the population. “Ilha Brava will judge the position of the current mayor, as we are a society where family and good customs are respected.
