Inter-zone Futsal Brava Cup 2025: The Historic Milestone of Futsal on Brava Island
Today, March 1, 2025, will be a historic day for sport and, in particular, for futsal on Brava Island. For the first time, the island is preparing to host the Inter-Zone Futsal Brava Cup 2025, an event that promises not only to mark the history of futsal, but also to strengthen the local community and encourage sports development throughout the region.
Under the leadership of Carlinhos Martins and with With the essential support of the Brava City Council, the Inter Zonal Futsal Cup will be held in various locations across the island, with the competition moving to a new city or town each week, allowing different communities the opportunity to experience the energy of futsal up close. The event aims to promote cultural and social exchange between localities, boosting the local economy and providing a true celebration of sport.
The Inter-Zone Futsal Brava Cup 2025 will feature 8 men’s and 5 women’s teams, reflecting the diversity and growth of futsal on the island. This event is not only a sporting competition, but also a platform for the development of young talent and the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle across all generations.
However, the organisation of the event faces significant financial challenges. The cost of holding a competition of such magnitude is significant, and therefore the need for more support and partnerships becomes crucial to ensure the success of this first edition. This is an invitation to everyone to come together for the benefit of the sport of Brava, contributing to a more prosperous and more inclusive future for futsal.
During the tournament, all games will be broadcast live on the Desporto Brava platform, which is once again committed to giving visibility to local sports. The online broadcast will allow everyone to follow every play and every emotion live, and to participate from a distance, as if they were in the heart of the competitions.
The 2025 Brava Futsal Cup will run until April 24, and with each round, the island will breathe futsal. The communities will be united, cheering for the sport, celebrating the talent and dedication of the athletes.
