João Paulo Roque Jr. launches educational project in Brava to teach English and Portuguese for free

João Paulo Roque Jr. is a visionary who, since moving from the United States to Brava in January 2023, has dreamed of making a difference in the Cape Verdean community. His journey of learning local and global languages was the catalyst for an ambitious project: an educational channel dedicated to teaching basic phrases in English and Portuguese.

The project, which has been available since July 6, 2024 on its YouTube channel The Fruit Bunch TV , aims to empower people of all ages in Cape Verde, at no cost. João Paulo, motivated by his love for education and community development, aims to not only teach languages, but also build partnerships with the government of Brava and Cape Verde to expand this learning program.

“My dream is to see our community not only mastering new languages, but also breaking barriers of communication and personal development,” shares João Paulo. He emphasizes the importance of his initiative as a way of culturally enriching Brava and the entire Cape Verde.
