Joaquim Mendes questions the whereabouts of the Brava Futsal Center
City of Nova Sintra, August 25, 2024 (Bravanews) - Last Friday, Joaquim Mendes, one of the greatest futsal players of his generation, expressed, on his social media, concern about the situation of the Brava Futsal Dynamization Center. Mendes raised questions about the lack of adequate preparation of the Brava futsal team for the National Tournament scheduled for September.
In a comment, Mendes highlighted that the core appears to be inactive, which has negatively affected the performance and preparation of the local team. He criticized the decision to appoint a coach who, according to him, does not have the necessary vision to lead the team, reflecting inadequate management that has impacted the quality of futsal on the island.
Mendes noted that the team faced similar problems last year, and it appears that the issues persist. He stressed the urgent need to reassess training practices and the support provided to athletes, who are committed and talented but have been hampered by a lack of structure and planning.
The situation is creating a sense of frustration among Brava futsal players and fans, who are hoping for improvements and more efficient management so they can compete at a high level and represent the region with dignity in national tournaments. “Oh, Brava, us,” he emphasized.
